MERCEDES-BENZ DIESEL ENGINES

Western Branch Diesel, Inc. is a distributor for Mercedes-Benz Diesel Products. We offer the MBE900 and MBE4000 Mercedes-Benz Diesel engines from 155 to 450 horsepower for the on-highway automotive market.

MBE900 Diesel
The MBE900 diesel engine is a family of sophisticated, electronically controlled 4 and 6-cylinder engines is available in a wide range of horsepower and torque ratings, up to 300 hp with 860 lb-ft of torque. The MBE900 engine is targeted to promote your business success. High-torque rise at low rpm assures drivability. Operating and maintenance costs have been minimized with intelligent design and state-of-the-art computer controlled performance. The expected engine life to major overhaul is 500,000 worry free miles (based on normal usage and maintenance). The MBE900 minimizes service as well. Oil changes were engineered to stretch between 15/20,000 miles, reducing operating and maintenance expenses and reducing vehicle downtime (based on in-city vs. highway driving). The MBE900 engine meets tough environmental standards such as Low Emission Vehicle (LEV) requirements without after treatment devices. The MBE900 engine has been designed for the lowest possible environmental impact. The MBE900 engine meets all of the required emissions standards in North America, including the stringent EPA/CARB regulations with six engine ratings LEV certified. The MBE900 engine is quieter for the driver and the neighbors along his route. The MBE900 is no ordinary engine. Because it was engineered by no ordinary engine builder. Benz & Cie., developed the first diesel engine for use in automobiles, and it was the first company to drop one into a truck more than 75 years ago. Today DaimlerChrysler AG builds more than 200,000 commercial vehicle engines annually for worldwide use.

MBE4000 Diesel Engine
The MBE4000 diesel engine is a state-of-the-art tool for today's drivers. It's stronger and lighter than any engine in its class in the market today. At 12.8L, the MBE4000 diesel engine offers the best power-to-weight ration of big bore engines in the industry. Advanced materials and components make the MBE4000 over 400 pounds lighter than some competing engines. Less engine weight means greater payload, so every trip in a truck powered by the MBE4000 is added revenue. Thanks to superior engineering, the MBE4000 diesel engine not only has great power, it achieves it with less fuel. The MBE4000 diesel engine is a drivers dream. Regardless of which of the seven power ratings you choose, the MBE4000 is characterized by reaching 90 percent of its peak torque at 1000 rpm. The less required maintenance on the engine, the more time your truck is on the road. That's why the MBE4000 diesel engine was designed for maximum reliability. Up to 25,000-mile oil changes with standard CG-4 oil. 100,000-mile fuel filter changes. And 800,000-miles before major engine work.
