what is this?
While visiting my home town in West Texas, I saw several diesel and gasoline MBs out front of a wrecking yard. One was a 300 turbo diesel but had manual A/C. I was not aware that the turbo diesel was imported with manual A/C. I could not get the year model of the car as the business was closed on Sunday. Can annyone tell me what this is? If anyone is interested, they had a beautiful 240D with mint interior, no rust, but typical paint fading from the harsh West Texas heat sand storms. I'll try to get the phone number of the business (it wasn't on any sign there) owned by Billy Bowman in Lamesa, Texas.

Those are good cars for that area of west Texas. At least 2 hrs. of highway driving(85mph+) between towns.
![]() The 300D sounds like it may be a gray-market car. (personally imported)
