Info on Amplifier

Can someone tell me if the amplifier on a 300SD 1983 can be separated.What Im trying to say is can the female part come out of the cap,if so any special tools needed?

what amp are you talking about? there are several. if you are refering to the tach amp then yes, it can be. all you need to do is pull on the two halves
