1979 300 SD Sunroof Problem

Looking for some help fixing a problem with my electric sunroof. Using the dash switch, it opens no problem, but when I depress the swith to close, nothing happens and the roof stays open . If I depress the dash switch to close and at the same time gently push the sunroof...it will close. Any ideas on what could be causing this and how to repair? I would appreciate someone's ideas.

You need to pull and clean your dash switch off, then clean and lube the tracks to your sunroof. Then lastly you need to adjust the clutch on the motor located in the trunk. This you need to be careful with not over tightening, I just tighten it a little at a time, until the roof opens and closes how it should and leave it be until things start to slow again, then re-tighten.
