Repaints, even cheap ones, are fine if the original color is kept. It just looks tacky to lift the hood or open the door and see red over yellow, blue over red, etc.

IMHO I'd rather have a faded looking original than a Half A$$ed maaco job.

Other points....
 

1) All the new things (i.e. battery) suggest poor maintenance previous.
2) New Tires? what did the old ones look like?
3) The coolant overflow tank appears to be thr original, over 20 yr old, not the updated model. Near end of its service life.
4) Brake fluid appears like it is old.
5) In the interior, the driver's seat and the nets behind the front seats are sagging in a way that suggests heavier use than the mileage.

He always displays his cars at the same location. Does a good smoke and mirrors show, the cars always superficially look good.
