Transmission filter
Hey guys,
I priced getting a new filter for my transmission in my 77 300D automatic today. Napa listed three different kits, no neck, 3/4 neck and 1 inch neck. Any input on which kit I need? I tired a search on here, but had a hard time finding info. Thanks, BB

Neck size probably refers to the extension of the filter output pipe above the top of the filter. This would be the pipe that goes up into the transmission when you press the filter up into place.
I would strongly advise you to buy the correct replacement part, such as the Mann filter quoted to you. If you go NAPA, it might be OK, and then again it might be the "nearest best fit" kludge. Ken300D
