There's a Vietnamese mechanic here who loves the 350SD. Has two of them. He says there are a lot of Mercedes diesels in Vietnam, that he had ample opportunity to learn them. I met him by accident, took my E30 in to get smogged a couple of times.

I only searched it a bit but I'm guessing this has to be that same 3.5 OM603.

Ad says 4 cyl. That must be the ultra rare 4 cyl. 3.5 liter MB diesel engine. Look that up while your at it.

Not sure about FL, but in CA once a car enters a junkyard the title is changed to a "junk" title and the car can never be road registered again.

I did see a guy cut a convertible 1972 beetle in half and buy both halves. I asked him what he was planning to do with it, and he told me that he was exporting it to the Philippines.

Remove the wheels and buy them separately. Remove the engine if you have to.

By the time you get to the yard the wheels are gone and it's up on rims.

Saw this on craigslist. Hard to find these in ny without so much rust. If anyone is in the NY region, it looks like a good one.

Thumbs up '79 W116

My monitor shows a tobbacco brown interior, not avacado green....

No mention of AC so it's safe to assume the EVIL SERVO FROM HELL has died....

Looks like a wonderful car to keep and enjoy .

Yes, I've heard the rap on the 350. I've heard that some people love them.

Anyone knows good car auctions websites where you can bid to buy used vehicles? My friend recommended these two car auctions:
https://abetter.bid/en/ https://sca.auction/en/
Let me know if someone has experience with similar auctions
