116 Rear window question

I am in the process of changing the rear window seal and my question is this. The widow has delamination occurring on the bottom edge ( turning milky white), will this effect the operation of the rear window heater? If so I will reinstall without the heater wiring.

Thanks,
Doug

i dont see how it could. the milky stuff is in the plastic between the glass layers.

the defrost wires lie on the inside of the inside layer of glass. noplace where they interface.
