Can I replace one electric fan on my '92 300D 2.5T??

One of the two electric cooling fans on my ’92 300D 2.5T doesn’t seem to be functioning. Is it possible to replace just one fan with a OE or aftermarket or must I replace both?

Yes you can. I have a 190D 2.5turbo (same engine as yours) and changed one of the fans with a fan from a Land Rover I think. IRR I had to adapt the power cable, cut, replace, as the "plugs" where not the same. It works just fine.

Unfortunately, I’ve had a lot of experience with Land Rover electric fans. I have one I need to change out now on my ’95 Classic Range Rover. I’ll take it out and see if it will match up.

Tell me about how you heated your fuel filter and fuel lines. I was thinking about running 50% Soy oil and petrol diesel in my tank. I live in San Antonio and this time of year the temperature is near a 100 F.

I'm not 100% sure it was off a Land Rover. I got 2 of them for free from a buddy of mine and I think he told me they were off a Land Rover. The fans are a bit larger in diameter, so I could fit only 1 couple with the stock fan. The A/C radiator piping wasn't letting me install both of them.

As for the injector line heaters and spin-on fuel filter heater I would advice you to buy them here: http://fattywagons.com/fwproducts.htm
Mine are not very efective, and will end up buying them from the USA if I want to use VO in the winter.
