short and curlies..

getting down to short and curlies on this ol' girl. Just installed a new steering damper, new tach amp, and a new SLS filter...months come down to 15 minutes of shop time. Fixin' to go to the Post Office and see if the rear wiper parts have made it to town, if so, another 30 minutes will finish her off.

I'm getting all jittery...don't know if it's cause I'm almost done or because I don't what to with the extra free time now! Free time, I was thinkin'...how bout driving this car for a change.

(don't wanna say this loud enough for her to hear me, but I figger she'll come up with something else to fix/repair/replace...I don't think you ever get through with houses, old cars, wooden boats, and some women!)

Mr. Mark- If you get really bored you can come to arlington, va Maxine (90 420 SEL) still needs the following things done: brakes and tires, hoses, belts, motor mounts and hood pad oh and the AC just gave out....

I'll cross my fingers for you.

Hopefully you're not like me; when I fix something I have a bad habit of screwing up something else that's totally unrelated...

well, it 50/50. filter seems to work great, steering damper was a noticeable improvement.

screwed in new tach amp, tach is still dead...gonna pull the panel and the instrument cluster and wire in another ground....geez, that'll be about the 5th time I've been in there.

rear wiper and washer are still a no good. winmutt sent me a motor and relay so now I've got 3 motors that I can hot wire and they run, but they don't run in the car??!! FIgure the switch is good, I can hear the relay clicking back there and since I can hear the relay I sorta think it's maybe good (may not be). But that end of the car is beginning to tick me off! I finally just had to walk away before I threw a wrench through the window. I HATE ELECTRICAL CRAP!

Ha! Almost done.
I thought that once upon a time. Mine's never done. There is always something that needs attention.

Clicking in the front end somewhere.
Window regulators.
Shocks.
Oil leaks--oil filter housing, amongst other places.

Always something to do.

But it is good to check things off the list.
