Need K1 Spring Kit
Because I live in Canada, I can't order from Phil.
Does anyone know a reliable source for these spring kits? Dealership? Diesel Giant? or are they generally available at major parts stores such as NAPA? I finally got me a green dashpot and it's made some difference, but more is needed...any hints or tips, along with How-to's would be appreciated

Bought mine at the dealer, for my 1980 300D.
and then.... Checked the little valve (3 port plastic thing) on my valve cover. It leaked, and I replaced it (about $40 from the dealer), and my trans shifts better than ever. Although I will still put in the K1 kit, I no longer have 2 - 3 flare. Just my experience, your resutls may vary.

I have an '80 300SD and I don't have those little 2/3 way valves on my valve cover...should I?

i have an 82 SD. I used to have them. i took them off as they only contoled the EGR valve. their leaking also caused a loss of vacuum to my tranny.

K1 spring replacement on "4-bolt"
I'm guessing you guys with the '80 cars have transmissions w/four bolts holding the pan on the tranny, correct? Would one use the same K1 spring setup on the six-bolt trannies??
To clarify, are the part numbers the same for the K1 "kit" for both four- and six-bolt gearboxes? Thanks, Jay.

The K1 kit (P/N: 126 270 44 77) is specifically for the 722.3,722.4 and 722.5 automatic transmission
