Opinions - Sequence of Replacement Parts
I have to embark on replacement of both lower ball joints, R&R of the idler arm bushings and R&R of the drag link. This is on my '87 300TD. I have been under looking and online reading to see if there is a particular sequence. Other than combining the drag link and rebushing of the idler arm, I can't see that tackling the lower ball joints prior to or after will really make a difference. Opinions please.

In my ever so humble opinion,
 do the ball joints first. This is so that when you come face to face with the stubborn one, and again realize that you still haven't been able to give up the habit of cursing when you have heated and beat on it for two days. After it finally comes out and the new ones are installed, the rest will be an encouragement to the fact that you can still tackle a job where everything does not have to necessarily take twice as long as the job calls for. Also you will realize that not every job is filled with so much frustration and the possibility of cursing. (On my lower ball joints, the first one took about 1.5 hours and the second one took about 2 days.  )
