Leaky oil pressure guage?

Greetings All
I have not driven my car in about a month and a half, partly due to the extreme heat(A/C crapped out) and partly due to lack of time. So today I go out intending to take a drive, and I see some oil has dripped down onto the rubber floor mat I put on top of the carpet on the driver's side, left of the brake pedal underneath the oil guage. It has run down the plastic dead pedal actually, onto the rubber floor mat. Just a few ounces as of yet, but I'm afraid as with all things w123 it will get worse if I don't fix it now. Back around Thanksgiving I pulled the cluster to investigate the broken odometer and to replace the speedo cable. This leak has not presented itself until now. ??? I just changed to Rotella syn after using Mobil 1 T&SUV 5w40 since I have owned the car. I don't understand how an oil guage could spring a leak without having any pressure on it like that, while the car is parked. This vehicle is something else.
Does anyone have the name of the member who has a stockpile of these guages? I know 'can.do' has a thread detailing how to resolder the brass snake inside there but I don't want to mess with that right now.
Thanks All

Leaking Gage

Just did this too. An old lady car that hadn't been driven much in two years, sprung a gage leak as soon as it became my daily driver. I bought a used cluster from eBay and swapped out the three gage cluster, total cost was $30 and time was about an hour including cleaning the rheostat and painting gage needles. The oil drip on mine was running down the colum and dripping on the brake pedal.

Check to make sure that the line isn't just loose, especially since you just had it apart. Be sure to hold the brass nipple that's part of the gauge when you tighten it otherwise you can easily damage the gauge to the point that it will leak, a lot!

I think I exposed the fault

The flat copper tube coil is crimped and soldered at both ends- I believe the end that I pointed out has a little crack or something in the solder joint. Can't figure out how to separate the guage any further, as in how to get the needle off, etc. I may try to solder the end and see if it works out, but since I can't get to the inside if the tube it may be useless. Oh well I got another one on order. This guage had been leaking before I got the car, and the padding behind the cluster and on the backside of the kick panel proves it.
