Mystery Ball Bearing

1982 300td

My drivers side rear door was difficult to open, and made a *pop* sound after a good push. A few days ago... no more pop! But it wouldn't stay open either. Then a little ball bearing came tumbling out of the hinge area.

Does anyone have a diagram of the hinge assembely so I know where to stick this greasy ball??

Thanks

the ball is part of the door check strap, it is better to replace it, once the ball is out, it is likely ruined anyway
