AC: Help, need to replace high pressure hose from dryer to expansion valve.
Re charged the system again and found my leak finally. It was under the batter holder!!! Not so easy to find. How do I evacuate the refridgerant on the R4 compressors? Do I have to do both sides? If the highside leaks out do I have to bother evacuating the low side to replace this? The diagrams I have appear to be for the York compressor. It would appear that the low side is keeping its charge so far.

Just vacuum out from the low side. NAPA in my area rebuilds hoses, last one cost me about $25. Also you may be able to get a vacuum pump loaner from Auto Zone, they charge your credit card and give you a credit when you return it.
Hope this helps Good luck on your project.
