Obviously your car has a 603 cylinder head with the 6th cylinder hacked off. If that doesn't make sense to you now, it will soon enough.
The shop way to remove the pins is with a slide hammer. Find the longest high grade bolt that fits the internal threads of the pins and fits within the confines of the engine bay. Put the bolt through a heavy item before threading into the pin. Slam the heavy item to extract the pin. Reverse to install. The shadetree way is to find a bolt just long enough to bottom in the pins. Put a couple of washers between the bolt and pin and tighten the bolt. Make sure the washer inner diameter is greater than the pin outer diameter. Remove the bolt and add more washers. Tighten the bolt. Lather, rinse, repeat. Thread the bolt into the pin and tap with a hammer to install. Sixto ... stay tuned |
