Valve Adjustment
Tried to adjust my valves today while doing an oil change. I couldn't get anything done with my huge wrenches... When I tried adjusting, all 3 nuts rotated together. Is there any chance of my valve falling into the cylinder if all 3 were turned together? I read someone had that happen. Does the oil have to be drained in order to do it? I put the cover back on already and filled the oil. Is there anywhere I can get the special wrenches cheaply or borrow them? $50 is way to much for me for tools that will only be used every 2 years and I'm already completely broke from buying over $100 worth of filters and fluids...

Manual time
Get a manual for you car and read it carefully.
I suppose the valves could be adjusted without the wrenches but it would be very difficult. No oil change is required to adjust the valves, btw. The wrenches are angled to get around everything in the way. If your valve is turning, stick a large screwdriver next the the valve collar to hold the valve in place while adjusting. A helper is real handy to measure the valves while you are adjusting the nuts. Also it's better to make the valves too loose than too tight. Look up additional posts on this site (search valve adjust). They will list some shortcuts to make the job easier. Good luck.

Definitely RTM time!
Even a haynes manual would do good for this. Danny
