Seeing the LARGE quantity of oil drips on the driveway, I don't think I'd pay more than $2500 for it as well as the cracks....
and I despise people who price their cars high based on just the name on it.

yeah, it's a mercedes, that doesn't make it a nearly $10,000 car....

the Quality and condition of the car is %95 of the resale price...

$9500 is RE-gaddamn-diculous!

And it "ONLY" has 276K miles on it.

I'm surpriced that he didn't mentiong that
they, without problem, go 500K miles

Mercedes-benz 300TD Wagon 1985 Clasic

What is a Clasic? a submodel or what?

You people sure it is crack? Maybe LSD which lets you see walls bleeding and pink elephants and high prices for a car that is not worth that much.

How did you determine that? In the pic the bottle was so yellowed out.

There seems to be some crack being ingested on ebay as well:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Beautiful-300D-Turbo-Diesel-Sedan-in-Memphis-58k-miles_W0QQitemZ320024031607QQihZ011QQcategoryZ6330QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

come on, have we now come to the point that someone would really pay $21K for a 1984 300D Turbo Sedan? Even gorgeous low mileage SLs go wanting at that price. And those were $60K when new.

I know this seller is a board member, but seriously, that's got to be close to the sticker price of that car when it was new. I suppose if the market will bear it there's as nice an example of a 300D as you are likely to find, but still, it is foolish to spend that much on that car, IMHO.
