THEY BUSTED MY WINDOW AND STOLE MY SH.... uhhh stuff!

Last night in my driveway some greedy little (insert drug of choice here) addict busted my 300tdt front passenger window out and stole approximately $1000 worth of musical equipment and ripped my radio out of the dash! :madani: Not that those little *****s will sell it for anything near what it's worth. Glass everywhere.....bent and scarred window trim... door trim falling off - (don't know what that's about - guess it was shiny and looked expensive at first glance :stupid: ) damaged the weather stripping on that door and the rear pass. door too. Spent today driving to the junkyard cussing, pulling a window and trim while cussing, driving home pissed, and installing the new components while very angry and extremely hungry. Luckily the equipment was insured and the window and misc parts cost me less than $15. Tomorrow I get to deal with furnishing a list of stolen items to both my isurance company and the police, and cleaning up the glass everywhere. Might as well do the fine tooth comb in the car to see what else they f**ed up or took. I feel violated! Makes me want to hide in my attic w/ my shotgun hangin out the window and slug the next b**tard that sets foot on my property uninvited :rifle: :uzi: :mgwhore2:. Thanks for letting me vent.....as if you had a choice.

1) find a spare 12v car battery

2) hook it up to the chassis so that when the next lil **** addict goes to violate your MB he/she get their own.

sad thing of it is they'll probably try to sue or for it. it sounds dumb but i can see it happening.

"thief sues victim for electric shock"
"victim counter sues for electro-shock therapy fee" :D

sorry to hear about that..good thing it was insured.

I hope you took pictures for the insurance before you fixed the window.

i had a funny thing happen to me, my old 230e had the drivers windo that was defective, it could be lowered by pushing the glass down, one night someone did just that and stole my cd player they just ripped it out, no damage, just took the radio. i was pretty upset, i guessed the unit was useless to them with out the connector plug, so the very next night, they came back and took the plug!!! had i know or even suspected they would return, i would have been waiting.

I've heard too many horror stories about burglaries. I always keep some jackets and towels to cover up anything worth stealing.

No pics. The obese cop with an attitude problem that showed up to act like I was interrupting his nap did a miraculous job with a fingerprint dusting kit and a notepad. He wouldn't even dust the interior. I ass-u-me he wrote down all the conditions, Ill find out when I get a copy of the report. My car isn't insured for comprehensive anyway. The gear was though.

Be very careful sometimes theives will return to do more stealing knowing you will have installed a new stereo. Maybe you could install a motion detector light in the parking area, as well as spooking theives it will be safer for you when returning at night . Sorry for your loss though .

I had someone bust into my truck. Stole the radio and my electric razor (WTF?!?), but never tipped the bench seat forward. Had they done so I would have been out $5K in camera gear.

One year in college I made some crackheads rich. They got all my winter jackets, my school books, 3 amps and my radio. I was left in the cold with no jackets!#$!@#$!#@$! And the worst part, a parking attendant across the street admitted to seeing the whole thing, said he thought it was their car!!! No wonder you working the zombie shift in a parking lot you worthless twit.

Do you need one? Its just the std euro DIN isnt it?

The 123's seem to have a crap slot to put an aftermarket secured radio in..you basically can't push all those little tabs into the voids so that the chassis will no longer slide out.

My 126 was a different story. Someone in NYC busted the passenger rear corner window (thanks for choosing a cheap one), opened the door...the alarm must have gone off because they spent little time to get the radio out, only leaving with the plastic frame trim and a CD jewelbox containing not the CD noted on the cover but rather 6 hours of MP3's that I can easily burn again for about $0.50. Window cost $150 with service direct at the parking garage.

My error was I left the detachable face on the radio only tempting the thieves. At the very least I just throw it in the glove box now. Are they will to take the chance that the face is in there?

Believe it or not I purchased a car that the theif went in through the front glass. Not only stupid but a lot more effort I would think.
