Thumbs down Which Trans Cooling Hose????

Blew one of my transmission cooling hoses last night on the highway. What a mess!! Tranny stopped working. Fluid all over the underside and left side of the car. Brutal. Many thanks to Kraftwerke for helping me out (Braintree, MA).

Anyway, I see two options for these hoses. One for the 722.315 transmission and one for the 722.416 transmission. My GF has the car today. Any idea which hose? I have a 1985 300Dt California car.

ALSO, looks like there is a left one and a right one. Are these hoses interchangeable? It would simply be ok to buy two if I wanted to replace both, right? They are both crumbly. Never want to see this again, and neither does my hungover transmission.

Both tranny use the same hose and they are interchangeable.

The flexible spring wrapped hose blew or the rigid lines along the engine? Are you sure it wasn't a radiator fitting?
