123 fuse diagram requested. PLUS...
I understand the climate control fuse is locate somewhere "special".
![]() There is no white paper in my fuse box to let me know who's who with the fuses. And my climate control blows only hot, not cold. (I am reading up on this, believe me, on this forum.) I just bought a 78 MB 300d the other week to run on the biodiesel we make. Runs good, but has some issues. Glad to find this forum!!!! ![]() Looks like I got myself a new hobby (car repair!) when I bought this car. THANKS FOR ANY HELP. bebu |

I could use the fuse diagrams as well but here is my adventure with
my CC repair... I found that after I checked my vacuum lines and dashpots and they were fine..... The connector to the CC computer was corroded somewhat and started to work after cleaning with some contact cleaner/lubricant. Also the blower fans wear the brushes out and will not work correctly. I wound this out when I pushed up on the bottom shaft of the fan blower and it came on like gangbusters! The commutator was worn and the misalignment took up the gap. You will be suprised at how much air the fan can move. Also the tube behind the glovebox to the sensor can rot away and will not sense the temperature properly if it is not there. Easy fix is buying 1/2" copper pipe insulation. Fits perfectly. Also works for the cracked and missing underhood piping for the ac pump lines. Now the AC (original r12 !) and heat track nicely. I have to get the condensor fan working but that maybe a next summer project as its getting cool here and I really need to concentrate on my cooling system hoses as I think they are original and are hard..... BTW I would check your monovalve as this is usually the source of full hot (no cold ) conditions. This valve shuts off the flow of hot coolant to your heater core and can leak or get stuck open. Good luck and have fun! George

Re-reading your post I noticed something else .... the fuse for the compressor is an inline fuse holder located with the ice cube relays in the black box on the left fender near the shock tower, I believe.

Well, I found a fuse diagram and have replaced all the fuses!
![]() THANKS for the info, ne2i and wiz. I'll print out this thread and give it to my mechanic. ![]() BTW wiz, the fuse you mention as compressor... I think the one he needs to find is for the climate control. Is that the one you meant? THANKS AGAIN. bb |
