elecrtical schedule glow plug relay
Can anyone help me?
Have a om603 in a w201 body, and it wont start. Fuel is present, but I haven't yet connected the glow plug relay. So i have been cranking it for a couple of times, but no fire-up. So now i want to connect the glow plug circuit, but dont know how to. (the body is a 2.3-16 gasser) Anyone got a electrical schedule of the glow plug relay of a om60*??? or a link? Thanks! |

How long did you crank it? Try going for 10-15 seconds and I bet it will start, if its a healthy engine (only if its over 55-60F outside though). Glow plugs will help a lot.
You could also power them up manually for like 20 seconds, then quick go start the engine...that'd work too. I bet a Haynes manual for the car would have the glow plug wiring schematic in it...usually its not a very complicated circuit. The factory manual might too.

If the glow-plugs are NOT functioning, you can use starting fluid, ... not ether though, use WD-40.

was lying in my bed.......
And thought of the 'manual way' also.
just did it, and it fired up immediately! But if anyone happens to have an electrical diagram, or other info concerning hooking up the glow plug relay, it would be welcome anyway! |
