210 headlights

This one is not a diesel but I hope that I can get some opinions.
The car is E320/97, wifes car, the outer headlight translucent plastic covers are fading, the upper parts look pretty bad. The car is generally parked under cover so there is not much damage due to sun exposure. Is there a reasonable fix for this, is it possible to relace these plastic covers with minimal trouble?
My 240D has Euro lights, headlights are at least 20 years old, absolutely no fading of the outer plastics.

Check in the detailing forum for threads discussing Lexan(?) polishing kits.

Lots written.

Polish it, what do you have to lose?

I have used a platic/fiberglass polish several times on mine. They are staying like new. You may want to try, would be cheaper than the alternative, if they are not too far gone.

Yeah they do that. Replace them with Xenon lights, they look great and can be bought on ebay.

I found a really cheap fix.. I use neesfoot oil on the lenses after each car wash. It really takes away the yellow and cloudiness of the lens. Its only a temporary fix but it sure makes the lense look good. I hear that lemon oil also works. If I didnt have a such a laundry list of mechanical things to fix I would replace the lenses
