Good for you Carrameow.

I guess you knew you would not be happy sticking with the other blue.

How did you prepare the car for the repaint?

Good Show!

You will be a 'happy camper" ever time you walk up to your car now and will soon forget about the extra hassle.

Yeah - looks nice!!!

I found a way to tone down the Mack Green I bought from Kirker- I mixed about 5% Flame Red and got a color much akin to British Racing Green. I still have to fine tune it a bit more. Somewhere in the 5-10% range of red mixed in dampens it. I am finally getting to use the color theory I learned in college.

DB 904 Midnight Blue

DB 904 Midnight Blue comes from 85 300D color chart. She needs to be wetsandeded to get that real smooth new car paint job look--dont think you can do that non professionally without a super expensive gun and a booth without dust, but you can get very close with today's technology

Yeah- try mixing in 5-10% Kirker orange (do you have any?) It was pure luck that I had some red for my goof.

I'm always impressed with your tenacity Carrameow [I don't know your "real" name]. Looks good so far, and you followed your gut correctly.
Now, on to those purple doors......
