Turbo S/O valve replaced, now more smoke
Since I replaced the turbo s/o valve, my wife told me she noticed a huge increase in the smoke out out when I accelerate. The banjo bolt and lines are clean, the ALDA still has it's plastic cap on. I have noticed a great inprovement in accelration. She said is smells like normal diesel, not oil.I have not noticed a decrease in fuel milage. Still gets 24 to 28 mpg. She said the smoke is more black and gray, like an 18 wheeler, or a Ford Powersmoke when it's nailed.
I have tried a few Italian tune ups. I'm thinking it's normal now that the ALDA is getting good pressure. What do you think?

If the old valve was plugged you are now gwtting boost to the alda that you weren't getting before. Boost to the alda meens more fuel. The ehxaust system could be carboned up and the old soot blowing out could be what you are seeing.
