anybody know what triggers the "rear courtesy lights" when the rear hatch is opened? Mine do not open when the hatch is opened... they do come on though when the rear doors are opened.

did you ever find the trigger? is it like the plunger switch found on the door jambs?

i'm thinking the trigger is somehow integrated with the locking mechanism

I seem to recall there is a switch in the lock mechanism on the tailgate.
