Idle speed increase question

My 190D and I were going for a spin when the throttle went to wide open at a red light. My foot was on the brake when she did this. I've checked The shop manual and it makes mention of a Idle speed increase actuator. I could understand burping the throttle to prevent stalling but this thing floors it. (It started spinning the right rear a lil'. I got a bit misty eyed). Any ideas on where to go from here.

Thanks
WG
