If he does not use the correct method of measurement ( 2 mm of number one intake valve movement ) then he has no accurate basis for choosing how much offset he needs in the key.
Did you call Brian a CRYBABY ?

Yes, the logic is clear.

However, it's confusing to many people. The FSM references everything relative to crank angle. The key that you refer to is listed as a 4 degree key. Fastlane doesn't need to make reference to the camshaft..........it's simply confuses the issue.
