Where to get good feeler gauge? - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

I want to buy the Valve Adjusting kit from diesel giant, but it lacks a set of feeler gauges....where would I find a high quality set of these? Who here has a set, what brand are they, and where did you get them, and for how much $$?

Sears like below for under $10. This pic is from their website. Mine is angled.

Cool! Thanks....I'll order his kit now, and visit sears soon....

This will be my first time opening up the valve cover myself (last four adjustments have been done by dealer)

I think I may polish up the valve cover with some metal polish too.

Süchtig zu Diesels , since u seem to be into SD's, Prestige had one at around 100k (forgot what year, 89?). Wanted arond $6k. Offered them $3k but no dice.

I think I may have seen that car! I saw a dealer-plate (prestige motors) 300SD 1990-92 model (W140) in the parking lot at Lowes about 1.5 weeks ago. (I work there) Was it black? Those have the rod bender engine though, have to be careful with em'....

No, this one's gold.. when u say rod bender, do u mean timing chain breaking? Kentwood Lowes?
