Dear friends:
I need everybory help to solve an engine start issue. My MB 300SD - 1982 is parked on a parking lot and need to be moved to home to be possible make a repair on it. Last night I left my work and the temperature was around 30F.At the time to start my car, after glow plug light off on dashboard, turning the ignition key to start engine the starter just turn for three or four seconds and stop run not allowing the engine to start. After this try I try at least ten more times but there was not more ligths on at the dashboard except for battery charge and seat belt.Radio, lights, turn flash, horn was all working but not glow plugs and other related with start system.I had not checked battery yet because it was happen at 12:40AM and the place is dark and far from home. There is the question:If not battery what the most comum part can cause this problem? If it is from Ignition Tumbler how to do to start the engine making some connection to bypass Tumbler? I need to use my car for work and your help is extremelly appreciated. Thanks and have a great day. Nick Nyko46@aol.com
