I actually learnt about MB diesels when I was 2, and my dad brought home the 1985 300D. That was in '91, I had no idea what diesel meant back then, I just thought it sounded really neat and smelled funny. It wasn't until later on that I learnt why it smelled that way or sounded different, but know I know, and I can say that is why I will be owning my 240D and hopefully many other diesels for a long time.
