Toyota Land Cruiser with MB diesel
Found this on Wikipedia. Anyone familiar with the vehicle and which diesel it used?
"he Bandeirante (OJ50/55, BJ50/55)was a J40 series built in Brazil by Toyota do Brasil Ltda from 1959-2001. Identical to the BJ40 in almost every respect, it had a few stylistic modifications to the grille and used a Mercedes-Benz diesel engine(later replaced by Toyota 14B inline 4 direct injection Diesel enjine) for much of its production life."

I am not familiar with this particular model, but a friend of mine worked overseas for an oil company in Africa and they drove a diesel Toyota all over the place. This was in the mid 90's. Don't knwo if it was a Mercedes diesel though.

From what I can see on the Brazilian 4X4 ads, the engine is either an M608 for the little ones or an M709 for the flat beds.
