I have read about all of the hard shifting and flaring on our 300sd but mine shifts great accept for the fact that it shifts from 2nd to 3rd almost immediately. Is this an adjustment problem and if so how do I go about making the proper adjustment. I have read about a Bowden cable (?) but the W116 seems to have a rod instead of a cable. Thanks for the help in advance. I just love this site! Also one other thing what has worn out to cause my gear shift lever to be so loose in shifting from park to any of the gears (it goes into reverse when the lever is pulled down to the neutral position and drive when it is in the 2nd gear slot)
