i don't know where the oh s*** bar came from probably some homie.but back in the 70's they were refered to as chicken straps.if you reach for em your a chicken.

maybe its a southern thing. my dad always called them that, chicken straps were for the vw drivin hippies. real men use bars, only a sissy would hang on a strap
