Bad voltage regulator can trigger SRS light

I was talking with someone at the dealership the other day. He mentioned that some of the newer cars were having their voltage regulator begin to fail. That in turn was causing a drop in voltage to the SRS system which triggered the warning light. At first, the mechanics were going through the entire SRS system, checking computers and such to no avail. Then they discovered the voltage regulator was the culprit.

Thought I would put that out there for whatever it's worth.
