82 300SD No heater blower after starter replacement???

This may be a coincidence.... but I've knocked off enough vacuum lines and power connectors that caused me grief, all in the pursuit of saving money, that I have to assume I DID THIS.

It all started with a no-start, no solenoid click situation. I removed the battery and had it tested (good), tried to "hot-wire" the starter at the fender well terminal block (still no solenoid click), cleaned and checked continuity on all my connections in the starting circuit (better now)............... But in the end, everything pointed to the starter/solenoid itself, so I replaced it. She started right up.....

This particular 82 300SD is fairly new to me... While I was doing all of the above, I noticed the block heater connector was unplugged - I reconnected it. Also, the oil separator down pipe tube (under the air cleaner housing) was disconnected from where it attaches to the pan drain. I fixed that as well, but had to remove the air filter housing to do it. (Hopefully that fixes the oil spot she leaves on my driveway.....)

After all of that, I went and drove her for 40+ miles. The only problem I noticed was that I had no blower motor. Even in DEFROST, nothing. The heater core is getting warm, though.....

I checked the fuse, it's good..... Is there anything in the areas I was working I may have disconnected on accident that would kill the blower?

I've read some posts talking about a resistor block and a blower relay, where are those at?

I'm considering slapping 12 v and a ground right to the blower motor.... if it works, I may wire in a switch as a temp fix..... it's to cold to let this go on to long.....

Thanks

Phil

mine was like that, I found the fuse holder was SLIGHTLY oxidized, and the fuse kept overheating, not blowing, just overheating and it kept the blower from running, I ended up scrubbing the heck out of the fuse holder with sandpaper, and also polishing up the edge of the fuse itself with a hone stone. working fine for a week now.
I read here somewhere, that the 82 model had a recall on the blower circuit and they upped the fuse from 25 to 30, but not sure how it was done. I pulled my fuse box and looked at the wiring to see how I could install a bypass fuse holder. it looked pretty easy.

PS, I found that if you drive with the controls set to max and the switch set to defrost, you will get heat out of the thing as you drive, it takes a bit longer, but it will warm up the car. once you get warmer, switch to econo and the heat comes out the vents and floor even without the blower. you have to be moving, and you have to be patient, but it will warm up the car.
