Be careful when closing your door - your window may break

arrgh.

So, after a 20minute seesion of "Jump the benz becuase I forgot to plug it in + record cold temps in Ohio" I had just tossed the jumper cables in the passenger side footwell and slammed the door shut becuase - in the last week, there's always some ice that gets in the way of the door closing properly.

I implore you to be gentle with your W123, even though it'd endure a nuclear explosion and EMP, the windows might not be up to an Ohio winter =)

- when I slammed the door (it wasnt an Angry slam, but it wasnt a gentle close either) the passenger side window broke (the door I closed) - OMG WTF BBQ ?

Has anyone else ever broken a window when closing a door ? I know I've been hard on them as of late, and the weather didnt help...I was totally not expecting this

(on the up-side, I got to see my wife and 9-month-old son/bundleofcuteness for an extra 45 minutes this morning, AND she was waiting for me with a warm car when I got out of work)

So tomorrow, its off to the Pick-n-pull (Bessler's in Hebron KY) to see if they have what I need - I know they have a few W123's, I hope they have something close. My 240D is an '82, I'm hoping that they have something that will work (I know they had a 1985 300D and a 70-something 300D
