Do you have part numbers for the following parts?
Greetings All,
Hopefully someone out there has a parts book and can locate a number for the idle control threaded adjuster that screws into a bracket on the engine that the control cable goes into, as well as the plastic sleeve where the knobby end fits into. This would be on a 300D series from 77-80 most likely. I'd just like to get the darn cable hooked back up and without the threaded adjusted the cable goes into, it's kinda hard to do. I'd also like the plastic sleeve number that the fixed end piece of the cable pulls forward on the throttle to make the idle adjustment. Would really appreciate any response please. Threaded adjuster is circled in red and plastic sleeve is item number 3 Thanks All, Charles [Edited by can-do on 05-27-2001 at 11:15 AM]

Please Help
Greetings,
If you have the means to provide the part numbers please do so. I'd like to get this fixed before winter rolls back around. Charles |

Charles is this the end sleeve you are looking for? It comes up on another site under your model and "idle cable". It's called, "end piece for idle increase cable". Part number is 123 300 00 86 and it is $3.91 at Mercedes shop fastlane.

Wrong part
Thanks,
But this is the early model end piece and I have already gotten one by mistakenly ordering it. The end piece I need looks like a plastic hollowed out piece with just enough space for the small end metal to fit into. Thanks, Charles |

Hey Charles, that had a picture, and it looked like a brass nipple. I think you are talking about the plastic ferrule that the wire slips into, right? Are you restoring your fast idle cable? Yours had been removed right? I will go out and look at mine tomorrow and see if it has a microscopic part number on it. Unless I forget, which might happen.

Don't make me beg!
Greetings All,
I know someone out there has the P/N for the parts in the pics I provided. Please send me the numbers. Don't force me to drive a 100 miles just to pick up these parts. Charles |

Try sending the pic to Partsshop.
Charles, how about sending the photo you have of the parts to the Partsshop here? They will be able to tell you immediately from the pictures. Good Luck. I went out to look for numbers on mine, but no luck. I need the new plastic bushings as well, part of mine are missing. I can go to the dealer and show them though. I know it's a hard one to describe. I bet the plastic parts are .50 cents each.
