I would definately drive that

C'mon people. Its about as ugly as a new Jetta but the saving grace is the fact that it gets 84 mpg!! Toss some BioDiesel in that thing and drive for eternity. The Cd is .19 which is going to make for a very quiet ride and it looks like nothing else, much like our own cars. That is what I like about it-its ultra- efficient, quiet (unlike my 123) and distinctive looking. Too bad Americans love cookie cutter cars. Maybe that's why we dont get any cool Euro imports.

Diesel electric hybrid, huh. Like old subs and trains. Why not!? That's too damn logical FI.

BUTTFugly. Almost as bad as all of our "21st century wind tunnel-tested designs". Kripes man, there are only so many mathematical solutions to a slippery front end. And we wonder why today's cars all look the same. Simple math actually. Not asthetics.

Simple answer: No. I'd drive a dang motorbike NAKED if I needed 84 mpg before I drove that thing. I do, however, appreciate the engineering of it.

I'm in the process of building a diesel electric hybrid, patterned after the Chevy Volt in my engineering class. BTW. I'm the team leader of development.

I would drive it, if the reliability is as high at the OM616 or OM617 engine.

Didn't Ferrari come out with an electric car that was in the 4-5 second range?

I would absolutely drive it. It's sort of like the bulldog of passenger vehicles -- ugly is part of its charm.

Adam, cool stuff. Hey a 17 yr old livin' the life of a 50 yr old ( I;m not quite ther yet), is cool.

Too bad you dont have a wife and a steady diet of "cream pie", which is one of the benefits. On teh downside, all my dang hair fell out. Look like a young airborne solider again,.... plus 35 lbs! But I'm still gettin' the pie!

Yeah, me too guys, I;ve have my 300D for three days is all, and the injectors are messed, but I LOVE the smell of diesel fuel in the morning.

Ha! If I went to therapists, they'd have a dang field day with me. Useless psycho babble, I know I'm different!

But I wouldnt want to be "that" different in driving the bottlenosed dolphin.

Sometimes ya dont want to stick out like a sore thumb! Subtle sticking out is the "50 yr old" method.
