what mileage can one expect....

...to get from a new rear c/v axle(ballpark).not a reman(1 yr/12000 miles)whichever comes first.

I've got 130k on a 1975 115/300d and 115k on a 1977 450 slc and neither has has had cv joints or boots.

Around 200k I believe if the boots stay intact. If you then switch them to their opposite sides almost another 200 k perhaps. Again if the boots stay good and the axels are new initially. It really pays to check those boots for leakage or damage periodically.

My car is still riding (silently) on the original CV axles with over 255k on them....boots aren't looking too good at this point though....

From a new replacement it should last just as long as the originals. Cheap reman, not very long....a quality reman will last a very long time.

thanks for the input.seems like new is the way to go.the places I have called about remans have all said 12k and/or 1 year.new aint cheap though so it looks like i gotta save my pennies for a while.just did drive side(right) and left was looking like it was also near its last leg.
