Can anyone tell me what model year the turbodiesels started having the (notorious) trap oxidizers installed?
I’m boiling down my selection to two cars – one is an 84, the other is an 85; both are California versions. Once again, if anyone has any information regarding significant differences between these two model years, please share your knowledge! Thank you! |

Calif 85 300D/SD and all 87 300D/SDL, these model have T.O.
86 300SDL was not sold in Calif and did not have T.O. If you have a Calif 85 300D/SD, you cannot buy the air filter from Pep Boys. Calif is the only place using that special air filter for 1985. David |
