I did some photoediting of your picture to show my wife what "her" car could look like after paint.

Nice wheels and a nice improvement over stock. I do not like the looks of the stock wheels that come on the '80 to '85 300D and 300SD. All of the little spoke like protrusions look too busy and not in sync. with the classic lines of the 123 & 126. Yours seem to fit the character of the car better.
Thanks for posting the pics.

Very nice, if I ever get updated rims, those would be the ticket.

I like the way that looks, very clean and sharp. Now that there is a class look for a older 300. Please let use know the tires size.

Just wanted to followup on this thread, As much as I liked the looks of the wheels, they were a bit too large for the eighty-something hp of this NA engine/gear combination. I pulled them off and put the 14 inch steelies back on. In this particular case the Euro is already geared to go faster at a more comfortable RPM... the tranny/rear-end ratio with OE diameter tires provide a good balance of top speed and off the line 'grunt'.
Sadly I will miss the handling and cornering, the oe tires sure increase the 'wallow' factor. Generally I think that larger tires are more ideally suited to a turbo engine and an automatic tranny... I've got fifteen inchers on my coupe and I put the 17s on my new2me TD, (but have not driven it yet.)

I don't think they are MB wheels but not to say they wern't an option. I've never seen them come on a new model but I do believe i've seen a car with them on before. I'm curious to know whats stamped inside. MB part number maybe?

They are def from a CLK, I found them on the wheel poster @ the dealer. Pretty sure its 1999. I've never seen another set w/ the 3 little bumps like that in person though either. Sorry I don't have the part number from the back right now, I'll get it next time I pull a wheel.
