Why Dear God Why

I've just finished changing the oil in my 81 300SD and I'm pissed.
Why Why Why do I have only one 13mm socket and I use it almost every time
I work on the car and I can never find the damn thing. But...I have seemingly
an endless supply of 12mm and 11mm sockets which I never use and can always find.

Go to Sears and get a few. They are something like $4 each.

i keep some box ends around.

I have NEVER gotten a 1/2" socket to fit a 13mm nut.
13 will however work on GOOD 1/2" nuts.

That's why I pick up the sockets I come across on the road, throw them in a box and voila a new supply!!

A man needs at least 2 12mm and 2 13mm sockets, in addition, a minimum of 4 open-end 12mm and 4 open-end 13mm is required.

Yeppers, That's what pawn shops are for....

I just keep a ratchet with a short extension and a 13mm 6 point socket in each Benz at all times.

Ironically....my 3/8 drive craftsman 13mm socket disappeared long ago....so I have been left to either use my 1/2 drive one + adapter, (I have a nice full set, haven't lost one yet! ) or my trusty "GreatNeck" brand 13mm deep socket that I bought at autozone in a pinch. I've used it probably hundreds of times...every oil change, all over the place. Kinda weird, I spent all that money to have a large set of quality craftsman tools, but the socket I use most (with my craftsman ratchet none the less) is a cheapo brand.

I need to get a complete set of craftsman 3/8 drive metric sometime to compliment my 1/2 drive set. However, they're like $30-40

We did just buy a 1/4 drive set from craftsman last saturday, 5-14mm....$30

I'd buy snap-on....but hey, I only have SO much $$$
