190d (1984) Rear windows dont work?

Hi, I have an 84 190d and both back windows dont work. They dont work from the front switches or rear switches. Checked the child lock button and all the fuses(farmiliar that the fuses work in an x pattern so that elimiates any fuses I suppose). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

try cleaning the switches. My 84 190 is the same way. Was told back windows not working and they don't. Thhe other day I noticed the back window about 1" down??? I didn't lower it, maybe my roomie? I hit the switch and it raised up, that all, didn't try it again as I had no time to mess with it. I will be removing the switches and giving a good cleaning.

I bet your's * mine will work fine after cleaning switches.

I've found electical components are much more reliable and durable than people think. the problems usually prove to be a bad/loose connection or sticky switch.

My 300d 84 had the same problem ,it was the connection between the male and female inside the holder assembly for the switch itself ,had to take some needle nose to the female end ,just a touch so the snuggness firmed up .You do want to write out what wire goes were before unclipping the assembly though ,it makes it alot easier when putting it back together. All kind of spilt drinks land on these switches ,so youll need to clean alittle to.
