1980-95 matience

ii i was wondering about the difficulty of working on the different years i am in the market for a used mb but want one with a good feel and luxury newer the better i think but the 80 seem to be rated the best but i can get a newer early 90's one for around the same price in my area are they all tdi's

the W123 300D Turbodiesel and 240D are some of the easiest cars to work on . The Mercedes engineers thought of us and the mechanics when they designed the thing in the mid 70's...

I have no problem really working on my 300D. All you need is a set of good metric wrenches and sockets, extensions, u joints, maybe a 22mm wrench and a 27mm deep well socket, channel locks and the occasional special tool. plus a hammer, 3 ton jack and jack stands, creeper, and a mity vac
