Hay all,

Does anyone know if an injection pump from a 81 300SD/W116 will also fit on a CA version 84 300D/W123?

I know that the rack position sensor won't be functional, but else is there a reason why it wouldn't work?

as long as its a turbo 617 it will cross. Though the cali version might be "detuned" for better emmissions

Both are turbo; In the interests of completeness guess I should say the 1981 SD is a 617.951, the 84 300TDT is 617.952

As a side note, what's the difference between the .951 and .952? I've heard camshaft, but anyone know for sure?

the TDT designates that it is a wagon with SLS so the head is different but the IP should not be an issue
