84 300SD Tag lights won't come on?
Does anyone know how I can get the pair of tag-lights on my 84 300sd to light up? I have replaced the bulbs, checked for corrosion, etc. I can't figure out why these two separate lights won't come on. I'm not talking about tail lights, I'm talking about the two small "fuse looking" lights that serve to illuminate your tag at night. Any ideas?

Do you have voltage in the socket?

on the left side tail lamp assy there is a seperate plug that is specifically for the licence plate lights, remove the bulb holder on the drivers side and see if it may be disconnected, it is a simple two prong plug that connects to the top of the main plug for that side

anytime, had the same issue with customers cars in the past, they would rmove the unit to replace a bulb and forget to reconnect it
