Radiator flush question

1984 300sd. My car is running at 100 c with the ac on. I have replaced the thermostat, and no cooler. Has any one used the citric acid to flush out their system and is there a good procedure to cool these cars down without drilling the thermostets? Help Please.

is the electric fan coming on?

There is an auxillary fan in front of the radiator that is triggered (I believe) by a combo of temp and pressure in the AC system. Can you hear it come on (pretty loud jet sound)?

To test it you can do some searching about how to jump the fan (or, I believe you can run it off the battery posts to see if it will turn on).

Flush never hurts, and 100* is not than bad as long as it doesn't go much hotter.

Mine goes up above 100 for a brief moment. But then again the accuracy of the temp gauge is questionable. Yes the fan kicks in. Typically stays at 100.
