It's 11 quarts.

You'll need five quarts of anti-freeze.

You can use Zerex G-05. Call around.........not every McParts has it in stock. Usually, Auto Zone or NAPA will carry it.

System capacity for the W126/OM617 is 11 litres. FSM recommends 5.0 litres coolant/6.0 litres water for protection to -30 deg C; 5.75/5.25 ratio for protection to -40 deg C.

Concensus on this board is that Zerex G-5 antrifreeze (gold container; goldish colored fluid) is substantially the same as "official" MB antifreeze. Mixing different colored fluids (gold, green, red) is a no-no.

I found the Zerex G-5 at Pep Boys, not at any of the other stores.

I bought some zerez-G-05 at Kragans, about $13.00. also checker,
schucks is the same co. in some states. check the label on the bottle.
I picked up one and it was ready to use. with a premix you are buying
expensive water. get the concentrate and mix with 50/50 distilled
water or what ever mix ratio you use.

less if you don't drain the block. but if you are changing antifreeze it is a good idea to drain the block.
