Wood panel

The wood panel over the push button assembly is held on by four clips. Pry gently under the panel and it will pop off. Mine has been on and off so much that it is barely finger tight.

Once the panel is off, remove the two Phillips head screws in the upper corners of the plastic panel. Then you have to firmly but carefully lift up and out on the panel to clear the clips that hold the bottom of the panel in the dash. I found that a regular screwdriver in one of the holes in the panel works well. Take your time, it will come out.

Once the panel is out of the dash, you have a large electrical connector on each side that you can unplug and a string of lamps at the rear that unplug from sockets in the panel -- the lamps stay on the wire. Then the panel is free in your hands and you can see into the dash where the vacuum lines are.
